Summary: "not so good"

this book was very good about half way through, but then it basically told you to deal with the alcoholics disfunctions. to expect anything. how does one have hope when told " it will never change " i thought that the book should have been more about how to help. maybe give some tough love back. but when told over and over not to be upset. the alcoholic is sick. we know this. at what point is one responsible for their own life?

This book was so insightful that I read it once and then read it again. I believe that I am now on a path that will separate me from my alcoholic and allow me to believe in myself again. Summary: "one of the best books on alcoholism..."

If you are having trouble with the alcoholic you love, this book will save you and quite possibly your marriage. I highly reccomend it, 5 stars are not enough. As the sober partner, this book gives great, strait-forward advice on how to love your alcoholic, and stay married, AND be happy. I read it about once a year just to stay on track. It has allot of AL-ANON qualities, but mainly teaches you how to live in peace and harmony in the midst of a chaotic life. If you are searching for help, this book is it, buy it now.LOVE IT, you will not be disappointed.
